Indoor drone flight has always been a challenge. Today, we are changing that by bridging the gap between Android's Fused Location provider and ArduPilot's EKF3.

The Vision

We wanted to fly in stadiums and warehouses without the cost of Optical Flow or the complexity of UWB. Almost everyone carries a high-precision positioning device in their pocket: an Android phone.

How it Starts

By injecting location updates only when they are fresh and including the exact timestamp, we allow the Flight Controller to "rewind" and fuse the data correctly. This is just the beginning.
