MAVLink GPS ("the App") is a utility designed to bridge Android Location Services to ArduPilot flight controllers.

Location Data Usage

This app collects and processes your device's precise location data (GPS, WiFi, Cellular) for the sole purpose of:

• Generating MAVLink GPS_INPUT messages.
• Transmitting these messages via USB-OTG or UDP to your connected Flight Controller.

Crucially: This location data is processed locally in real-time. We do not store, track, or upload your location history to any external servers or cloud services. The data effectively travels from your phone's GPS chip directly to your drone via a wire.

Permissions

The App requests specific permissions strictly for functionality:

• Location (Fine/Coarse): Required to access the Android Fused Location Provider. Without this, the app cannot function.
• USB Host: Required to communicate with the connected Flight Controller.
• Foreground Service: Required to keep the GPS connection active while the screen is off or the app is in the background (if enabled).
